Arthur H. Secondo, 65, is a lifelong resident of Southington and graduated from SHS in 1962. Arthur's family owned a downtown Italian restaurant from 1937 to 1992. Art was a Member of Southington Park Commission for five years (92-97), certified softball umpire for 37 years, and a member of the ESGR, employer support of National Guard & Reserve. Art is also an Officer of Sons of Italy where he received the club's highest public service award in 2007.

Art began his journalism career in 1968, and is a former officer of the Southington Jaycees, receiving numerous awards from 1969 and 1971. Art owned and managed a sports theme restaurant, Hall of Fame (78-92). As the Editor-in-Chief of the Southington Observer, Art received several journalism awards. Formerly, Art served as the Communication & Marketing Director at Chancellor Gardens. Since 2003, Art has served as Chamber of Commerce President/CEO.

Married for 44 years, to his wife Marie, Art has three grown children and five grandchildren.

Art is seeking a sixth term on the Town Council.
